First things first... Activation

Land in one of the countries that the SIM works in.

  1. Insert SIM into your device
  2. Turn on Data Roaming
  3. Restart your device
  4. You'll get a message in Thai from AIS which you can ignore and your 15 days will begin!

Troubleshooting

My data isn't working
1. Check that you have Data Roaming & Mobile Data turned on in your device settings
2. Ensure that your APN Settings match the following :
Name : internet
APN : internet
Username : (leave this field blank)
Password : (leave this field blank)
3. Restart your Phone
My data has stopped working
1. Check your data balance by accessing settings > data usage on your device
2. Turn off your device, remove the SIM, reinsert the SIM and restart your device
3. If your device shows that it is connected to LTE or 4G but data is not working, manually turn off LTE/4G and connect to 4G/3G :
Apple : settings > mobile > mobile data options > disable LTE > restart
Android : settings > connections > mobile networks > network mode > switch to 3G/2G > restart
** These settings may look different depending on your device! If these instructions do not match exactly, explore your device settings until you find 'Network Mode'
I've tried everything and it's still not working
If you've followed the above steps and you step cannot get things up and running, please reach out to us at hello@simsdirect.com.au with the following information :
- Which SIM do you have
- Where are you currently located
- When did you activate your SIM and what happened during activation
- Have you followed all of the above activation and troubleshooting steps?
- Please attach a screenshot of your mobile network settings, your APN settings with the WiFi turned off and your mobile data turned on, and a screen shot of your data balance.

How do I find my mobile number?
This SIM is data-only so it does not come with a phone numbers. This SIM cannot make or receive calls or texts.
How do I check my balance?
You can find out how much data you've used by checking in your phone settings
How do I recharge?
This SIM is non rechargeable. It is for one time use only and you will not be able to top up once the data limit has run out. You can avoid this problem by grabbing a few to swap out as you go!
How do I know if my device is unlocked?
If you bought your device outright, it is most likely unlocked. If you're unsure, the best way to find out is to call your Aussie network provider and ask. They should be able to unlock if for you as well if need be - just a heads up though, they may charge you a fee for this.
